This tent was built in a place deeply meaningful to Alix & Cam - a place they call home. A place where summers are spent, traditions are honored, and life’s most meaningful moments are celebrated.
For their wedding weekend, we designed a space that felt like a natural extension of the home itself, thoughtfully layered into the surrounding landscape rather than placed upon it. Truro, with its more remote setting on the Cape, carries a distinct sense of rugged beauty, raw, windswept, organic, and effortlessly understated.
Every design decision was rooted in that sense of place, creating an atmosphere that felt both elevated and deeply personal. Even the zebras made an appearance, a playful and unexpected detail inspired by pieces from their home, adding character, charm, and a touch of whimsy to the celebration.

There are few places more iconic to a coastal New England love story than Castle Hill Inn.
Ali & Ian’s ceremony unfolded on a perfect July afternoon in Newport, with sailboats drifting in the distance, salt air moving through the florals, and layers upon layers of hydrangea framing every moment. It felt as though the landscape itself became part of the celebration.
This wedding was about more than beautiful design. It was deeply rooted in memory, legacy, and place. Castle Hill held profound meaning for Ian and his family, making this setting not only breathtaking, but incredibly personal.
For the ceremony and cocktail hour, we leaned fully into Newport’s natural beauty—allowing abundant white and blue hydrangea and roses to soften the coastal backdrop while honoring the timeless charm of the setting. Guests sipped cocktails overlooking the water, gathered around a raw bar, and soaked in a summer afternoon that felt quintessentially Rhode Island.
Classic. Intentional. Deeply personal. The kind of celebration that reminds us that the most beautiful weddings are the ones that feel inseparable from the story being told.

Stripes, woven textures, layered color variations, curves, and light all played an integral role in the overall design composition of L&J’s late summer coastal wedding.
One of our favorite details? We sourced additional fabric from the reception linens to use as the matting for the bar signage and as the backdrop for the stationery flatlay, creating thoughtful continuity across every touchpoint of the celebration.
From the reception tables to the bar moments and detail displays scattered throughout the property, each element felt distinct while still tied together by a common thread.
