As we prepare for our first wedding of the 2026 season this weekend, we can’t help but reflect on how we closed last year right here at Chatham Bars Inn. Lia & Jack’s celebration was the perfect finale to an incredible season, filled with meaningful moments, thoughtful details, and the unmistakable magic of the Cape.
Now, just months later, we’re back to begin a new chapter in the very same place.
One of the greatest privileges of what we do is watching the seasons change while creating entirely new stories in places we know and love. Every couple brings a fresh vision, a new family history, and another opportunity to transform an already beautiful setting into something uniquely their own.

Laura is the driving force behind so much of what we do. From vendor communication and production logistics to organizing countless moving pieces, she’s always thinking two steps ahead so nothing is ever left to chance. Her attention to detail, steady approach, and genuine care for our couples have made her an indispensable part of our team.
And the best part? She’s my sister! (Could you tell?!)
Building this business alongside family has been one of the greatest gifts, and it’s been so special to watch our couples appreciate and trust Laura just as much as we do. We truly couldn’t imagine Lia Bancroft Events without her. 🤍

This tent was built in a place deeply meaningful to Alix & Cam - a place they call home. A place where summers are spent, traditions are honored, and life’s most meaningful moments are celebrated.
For their wedding weekend, we designed a space that felt like a natural extension of the home itself, thoughtfully layered into the surrounding landscape rather than placed upon it. Truro, with its more remote setting on the Cape, carries a distinct sense of rugged beauty, raw, windswept, organic, and effortlessly understated.
Every design decision was rooted in that sense of place, creating an atmosphere that felt both elevated and deeply personal. Even the zebras made an appearance, a playful and unexpected detail inspired by pieces from their home, adding character, charm, and a touch of whimsy to the celebration.
